From Taylor Lord:
First and foremost, I would definitely say I am where I am today because of God’s providence. But more practically speaking- I was an Art History major, and as a requisite, I took a B&W film class my senior year of college, and from that time forward, I knew I would always be a photographer. I loved the fast-paced, speedy nature of photography as an art medium, the meditative aspect of the darkroom, and meeting deadlines for projects. I started as a full-time wedding photographer in 2011 and have since shot over 100 weddings.
I am primarily a natural light, editorial wedding photographer. Film is my preferred medium as it is the only type of photography I have worked with that has been able to achieve the look I strive for. Film is timeless — film is classic — film will never go out of style.
I love everything about shooting weddings. I love the romance of the day, the fast-paced creative process, and ultimately giving my clients something they will be able to enjoy for many years to come. I love taking what my clients have brought to the table and creating beautiful images from it.
I’m presently based in Dallas, TX and live with my husband Josh (a psychiatry resident at UT Southwestern) and our fluffy white golden retriever puppy, Canon. I love our mid-century modern house, coffee, wine, and sharing those things with friends.
