“Erica and Kevin’s ceremony took place at the base of Summerour‘s grand staircase, which is a hand-crafted wood replica of Michelangelo’s Laurentian Library staircase,” says Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events. She adds that this Atlanta wedding, with its wooden floors and exposed beam ceiling, along with an outdoor courtyard is reminiscent of a Tuscan villa. Talk about a pretty wedding! Prepare to fall in love with this vibrant purple, orange, and pink celebration captured by Whitney Huynh.

From Lemiga Events: Erica and Kevin live in California but decided to get married in the bride’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. They chose the venue, Summerour a refurbished warehouse, for it’s unique architecture. The interior has wooden floors and exposed beam ceiling, along with an outdoor courtyard reminiscent of a Tuscan villa.
Erica chose a vibrant purple, orange and pink color scheme which was perfect against the venue’s wood surfaces. Her biggest inspiration was a beautiful calla lily bouquet she found on Pinterest. Erica also loved the idea of using unique floral and the floral designer The Savage Garden did a wonderful job incorporating succulents, Protea, orchids, and tulips into the design with lots of candles.
Erica and Kevin’s ceremony took place at the base of Summerour’s grand staircase, which is a hand-crafted wood replica of Michelangelo’s Laurentian Library staircase. After exchanging vows they opted to jump the broom before recessing down the aisle.
Guests were welcomed in the outdoor courtyard for cocktail hour. They found their dinner seating assignments on a monogram seating chart and wrote well wishes to the couple on postcards from their favorite cities. The couple’s portraits by Whitney Huynh around the venue are warm and romantic and just perfect to show their love for one another.
It was important to Erica and Kevin for their guests to enjoy great food and have fun! Guests dined under bistro lights and enjoyed posing at the photo booth from Shutterbooth in between dancing. The beautiful wedding cake from Perfect Wedding Cake featured a beautiful cascade of brightly colored flowers and was displayed on a plum sequin linen. The bride has an infinity for rice krispy treats, so we had the caterer Bold American make her a rice krispy treat cake.
Erica and Kevin danced the night away with their guests and then were sent off with sparklers in the courtyard. It was such an honor and pleasure to plan and design this wedding and bring Erica’s vision to life!
