These have to be the most gorgeous short wedding dresses I’ve seen yet! With high-low hemlines, intricate bead work, and a variety of silhouettes, the short gown has come a long way. Gone are the days when a typical above-the-knee white dress and a sweetheart neckline defined the short gown aesthetic. Instead, designers have pulled out the big guns with these short wedding dresses, maintaining a high level of creative genius. See more lovely styles below for inspiration!

If you’re not completely sold on the short wedding dresses, take an alternate approach with a soft tulle overlay to give the illusion of a short dress but the look of a classic gown. The above design by Maison Yeya is by far one of my favorite dresses for the bold and edgy bride. If you can pull this off, you can wear anything!
Alena Goretskaya wows us with this well-designed short wedding dress featuring a high-low hemline and a fabulously ruffled skirt. The cascading train offers a great deal of floating movement as you strut down the aisle giving this gown a regal effect. How perfect!

Not only are short wedding dresses great for a fresh, casual approach to bridal style, these gowns are perfect for rehearsal dinners and receptions, too. Who says you can’t pull off a fancy wardrobe change like a true celebrity? Go for it!
