Wedding Guest List: Show Gratitude to the Uninvited

Before sending out your wedding invitations, speak with those who you think might be hurt by not receiving an invite. Though it could be an awkward conversation, but it’s better to be honest and address the issue versus not mentioning anything at all.

If they still feel offended by your decision, don’t be defensive, just offer your sincere apology, and then cross your fingers that you’ll remain friends.

If you aren’t able to invite as many close friends as you had hoped, consider hosting a casual gathering upon your return from the honeymoon. A simple cocktail party or barbecue with close friends will do the trick! Just be sure to let friends know that they should not bring gifts.
