Make sure to address the following points before you sign the contract with your wedding rental supplier!
- The deposit amount and due date, as well as the remaining balance and due date. (The norm is a 50% deposit.)
- Date and time for delivery. (Make sure to confirm that these times work for you and also your wedding venue.)
- Date and times for disassembly and pickup. Make sure to confirm that these times work for your wedding venue.
- Fees for delivery, setup, breakdown, and pickup.
- Rates for setup arrangements. The company should send a representative to be on-site throughout the setup, in case any problems should arise.
- Details on insurance. If a vendor does not have their own insurance, then it is a red flag.
- Is it possible to obtain additional insurance? Note: this may be a good option to consider if you are renting sterling silverware or fine china.
- Detailed description of all rented goods and quantity. Crosscheck the company’s list with yours, so that no item is overlooked or double charged.
- Rates for any damaged, lost, or stolen items.
- Terms for overtime fees.
- Cancellation and refund policy.
