Make sure to look for these key elements before signing the contract with your videographer:
- The wedding date, arrival time, and full address of the wedding ceremony and reception site.
- The set number of hours that are included in the videography fee.
- The deposit amount and the date on which the balance is due. Have the cancellation and refund policy written out, as well as the overtime rates.
- The names of any assistants and the hours that he or she will work.
- The total fee and what services are included in this fee. Have a price list for copies of the DVD and all other similar items.
- A list of what the videographer will bring or provide.
- The number of hours of raw footage that will be shot and the length of the edited video.
- What the videographer will wear while shooting footage during the wedding.
- A backup emergency plan, in case the videographer cannot make it to the wedding.
