Wedding Videography Contract: Key Elements to Cover

Make sure to look for these key elements before signing the contract with your videographer:

  1. The wedding date, arrival time, and full address of the wedding ceremony and reception site.
  2. The set number of hours that are included in the videography fee.
  3. The deposit amount and the date on which the balance is due. Have the cancellation and refund policy written out, as well as the overtime rates.
  4. The names of any assistants and the hours that he or she will work.
  5. The total fee and what services are included in this fee. Have a price list for copies of the DVD and all other similar items.
  6. A list of what the videographer will bring or provide.
  7. The number of hours of raw footage that will be shot and the length of the edited video.
  8. What the videographer will wear while shooting footage during the wedding.
  9. A backup emergency plan, in case the videographer cannot make it to the wedding.
