A serial entrepreneur, international businesswoman, and student of style, Nicole was inspired to create MODwedding based on her personal experiences with friends who were getting married. She noticed that brides and grooms, who usually kept their friends up-to-date via Facebook and Twitter, were unable to share information about their wedding festivities because online resources were sparse and much of the planning and communication with guests was taking place offline. Looking to fill that gap, Nicole is working with co-founder Alex Hsiao to launch MODwedding.com in the spring of 2010.

A Conversation with Nicole Zhang

1. How would you describe your style?
I am a classic kind of gal. Style icon Coco Chanel once said: “A girl should be two things: Classy and fabulous.” I couldn’t agree more. The little black dress and multi-strand pearl necklace are the must haves in my closet.

2. Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?
Coco Chanel of course! She is one of the most influential fashion icons of the 20th century. She made French women what they are today with her timeless designs and sophisticated taste.

3. What is your dream wedding?
Romantic, elegant, fun and intimate are the best words to describe my dream wedding.

4. What is your current food obsession?
I love Japanese cuisine! There are endless array of delectable dishes to choose from, and they are light, healthy and delicious!

5. What is one song you can listen to over and over again, and never get tired of hearing?
“I Am Woman”, a song written by Helen Reddy. It makes me feel great everytime I hear it.
