Establish who the key decision maker is at the beginning of the planning process. A planner (if you’ve hired one) and your vendors will appreciate knowing who to take direction from! When too many decision makers are involved, things don’t get established and executed in an efficient timeframe and your vendors are left wondering WHO has the final say. Opinions are great from time to time, but someone needs to own making the final calls. For example, MLE most commonly works with the bride as the main decision maker. Occasionally, both the bride and groom will be the go-to decision makers and sometimes we see mother/daughter decision-making duos. Single or duo — establishing early on who calls the shots and who your vendors can go to for consensus through the planning process helps pave the road for a drama-free, fun experience!
